The play "The Bench" was written in 1983 by the Soviet playwright Aleksander Gelman. At one time, it was banned from production, because the plot begins with a very unpleasant event: a man does not recognize the woman he met a year ago. And then the story of lies and sincerity develops, which leads to the disclosure of the characters. Will two people who are completely strangers become the closest to each other, get the love and mutual understandingthey are looking for?

Oleg Yefremov managed to stage the play for the first time at the Moscow Art Theater with the participation of Tatiana Doronina and Oleg Tabakov.

Now the play is the pearl of Soviet drama, has been translated into many languages of the world and still does not leave the stage. The plot of the play is clear and simple: a chance meeting between two people, on a park bench, where He changes names and faces, and She is ready to be deceived and wait every time.

A man in search and a woman waiting for love is a story about all of us and about the desire to find sincerity in a world of loneliness.

We are proud to present the play "The Bench" with the participation of Aleksey Panin and Vera Kutsenko.
